Dear Friends, Just wanted to send final greetings to you all along with my love and thanks for helping us to get to the end of the year with all our commitments to the children, elderly and staff complete. I returned to Mozambique in October to oversee the final arrangements and was very pleased that everything was put in place during my stay. Formal closure procedures have been followed and our mission in Mozambique comes to a close at the end of this year. It has been a wonderful journey and my deepest thanks and gratitude go out to all, near and far, who have been with us on this adventure. All that was achieved during the 15 years of Imagine was a joint effort. However our C.E.O. (GOD) was the one making all the parts of the puzzle fit wonderfully together. As one door closes, another one opens and the great news I can now share is that Imelda will be staying on in charge of the Family Homes centre. A newly formed group called “Mission Mozambique” has been accepted by Social Action to be the new management responsible for the funding of the Family Homes. The founder, Sue Underwood, has been involved with Imagine for the past 4 years and her love and passion for the children has been the motivation for her to take on this challenge. “Mission Mozambique” has appointed Imelda as their Manager in charge of the Family Homes, giving the house mothers and the children the stability and security for the next chapter in their lives. 3. I have now returned back to Liverpool and staying with my sister and family. My new email contact is lorraine123williams@gmail.com. Although I don’t have a plan at this moment, I hope to find my way forward during the coming year, although hopefully nothing too hectic!lorraine123williams@gmail.com Please keep Imelda and the new group in your thoughts and prayers. It is a real blessing that we will be able to continue to follow the progress of the Family Homes and the lives of the children. The foundation is laid and with Imelda to guide, the way forward is in the very best of hands.
