3 Governor’s Report A report drafted by ADEQ. The report pulls data from multiple sources to provide it in one report. Gives a yearly indicator of recycling in Arkansas. The report provides a good snap shot of recycling in Arkansas.

6 Regulation 28 Annual Report Regulation 28 is the regulation on county recycling programs. Regulation 28.701: Annual Reporting ◦Applies to recycling collection centers run by RSWMDs, counties, or municipalities. ◦Reports due July 15 of each year reporting info from proceeding 12 month period. ◦Reports are required to provide amounts recycled in weight and volume. Regulation 28.702: Survey Requirement ◦Reports due July 15 of each year reporting info from previous calendar year. ◦Survey of private entities that recycle

10 Reports from Permitted Facilities Quarterly Disposal Fee Report ◦Provides tonnage of waste disposed for calculating the disposal fees due. Annual Report from SWRFs, CDRFs, and Transfer Stations ◦Provides numbers for the amount of materials recycled through these respective facilities.

11 EPA’s State Data Measurement System The system is a voluntary nationwide database of recycling and solid waste information. The goal is to try and establish an “apples to apples” comparison between states.

12 ELVS Annual Report ELVS Annual Report is the End-of-Life Vehicle Solutions Corporation Annual Manufacturers Implementation Report. ELVS program provides an avenue for recycling of mercury from switches pulled from scrap cars.

13 Final Thoughts Nothing is Perfect! o Not all the information submitted to the Department is verified. o Not all materials collected for recycling are actually recycled. May be more data out there!
