2 College Updates: Letters & Science: 17,000+ undergraduates More than 80 majors and 38 minors Selection by major ONLY for Dance, Music (audition required) and Computer Science; otherwise, major not considered in admission Engineering: 1,200+ undergraduates 5 majors Selection by major: maintain strong grades in math Creative Studies (CCS): 400+ undergraduates 8 majors Supplemental application required; selection by faculty Fall 2011 Freshmen Outcomes: Strongest academic class ever! 29% of incoming freshmen are underrepresented minority students 41% of incoming freshmen are first generation college students Non-Resident admissions increased by 5% Fall 2012 Plans: No changes in selection process: Comprehensive Review ELC no longer guaranteed, but considered Prospective Engineers should declare intended major
