2 Information  Mitt Romney is a republican  He was governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007  He ran for president in 2008  Mitt Romney is a conservative candidate

3 Economy  Plans to reduce the corporate income tax rate to 25%.  Implement Free Trade Agreements with Columbia, Panama, and South Korea.  An order to Sanction China for unfair trade practices.

4 Education  Plans to eliminate the federal government from any saying in education  Wants to make classrooms smaller, in order to hire more teachers

5 Taxes  Supports the Bush 2002 tax cuts, they will help the economy  Is going to reduce the tax burden on middle income families  Romney addressed, “my pledge” as not to support or reverse the plan to roll income back to 5%

6 Gun control  Romney Second Amendment rights, but also assault weapon ban.  Supports the NRA.  Believes that all citizens should possess a firearm for protection.

7 Health Care  Mitt Romney said that he is going to do is eliminate Obamacare.  He said that he will let each state create their own health care program best fit for the citizens of that state.

8 Immigration  He will let immigrants start their own companies, create jobs and drive innovation which will make the economy much better.  He says illegal immigration must be stopped but will give those illegal immigrants chances to become legal citizens.

9 Same Sex Marriage  Mitt Romney said that same sex marriage should be legal.  Says that his preference is man and woman marriage, but there is nothing wrong with gay marriage.

10 Global Warming  Romney’s first step will be a rational and streamlined approach to regulation, which would facilitate rapid progress in the development of our domestic reserves of oil and natural gas and allow for further investment in nuclear power.  Establish fixed timetables for all resource development approvals  Create one-stop shop to streamline permitting process for approval of common activities  Implement fast-track procedures for companies with established safety records to conduct pre-approved activities in pre-approved areas  Ensure that environmental laws properly account for cost in regulatory process  Amend Clean Air Act to exclude carbon dioxide from its purview  Expand NRC capabilities for approval of additional nuclear reactor designs  Streamline NRC processes to ensure that licensing decisions for reactors on or adjacent to approved sites, using approved designs, are complete within two years

11 Affirmative Action  No one wonders what advantages accrued to Mitt Romney, a man who spent his early life ensconced in the. Romney's Detroit (like most of the country) prohibited black people from the best jobs, the best schools, the best neighborhoods, and the best of everything else. The exclusive Detroit Golf Club, a short walk from one of Romney's childhood homes, didn't integrate until 1986. No one is skeptical of Mitt Romney because of the broader systemic advantages he enjoyed, advantages erected largely to ensure that this country would ever be run by men who looked like him.  No one wonders what advantages accrued to Mitt Romney, a man who spent his early life ensconced in the preserve of malignant and absolutist affirmative action that was metropolitan Detroit.
