3 To Add the solver Add-in, click on File/Options

4 In the options dialogue box, click on Add-ins

5 Highlight Solver, click ok

6 In Excel, give some thought to your layout

7 Enter parameters and logical equations

8 When ready to solve, enter solver Click on data/solver

9 Enter Cell where Profit is calculated

10 Enter Cells where variables are located

11 Click Add Constraints button

12 Enter Constraints, one at a time, then click add

13 Once objective, variables, and constraints are all added, click on solve button

14 Solver will find the optimal solution Solution

15 Solver will find the optimal solution Values for X 1 and X 2

16 Solver will find the optimal solution How much of right hand side did we actually use?
