2 What does the European citizenship entail? Citizenship is about coexisting, stating your opinion, listening to one another, respecting one’s opinion, compromising and putting to action in order to alleviate major problems that exist in the European community.

3  By acquiring knowledge,creating a safe learning environment for the students to broaden their horizons and evolve as tomorrow’s citizens in general.  By giving guidance and enforcing inspirational thinking.  By spacing for initiatives and exercising the citizenship through diverge actions.

5 Rights The right of legal protection against direct and indirect discrimination on the grounds of race or ethnic origin and education, social security, healthcare and access to goods and services.

6 Rights The right of equal treatment in employment and training, irrespective of racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, disability or age.

7 Rights The right to move, reside and work freely within the territory of the Member states.

8 Rights The right to vote and to stand as a candidate in elections in the Member state in which they reside, under the same conditions as nationals of that State. Do you know that… In 14 th countries, members of EU, a person can become a mayor of the municipality he is resident, without having the citizenship of the country?

9 Rights The right to diplomatic protection in the territory of a third country (non EU) by the diplomatic or consular authorities of a Member state, if their own country does not have diplomatic representation there, to the same extent as that provided for nationals of that Member state.

10 Rights The right to petition the European Parliament, concerning instances of maladministration in the activities of the community institutions or bodies.

11 Rights The right to access European Parliament, Council, and Commission documents subject to certain conditions.

12 Rights The right to immediate and necessary healthcare within the EU countries, in case of an emergency incident or injury. Do you know that… In EU there is a European insurance card, so a person can have healthcare for free in any country within the EU?

13 Rights The right to direct communication with the EU, in your language including the offering of information or any other help needed.

14 Obligations As an EU employer one must: Implement the principle of equal treatment, irrespective of racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation with a view of taking appropriate measures to enable a person with a disability to have access to employment or appropriate training.

15 Obligations As an EU citizen one must: Provide equal access to employment, selection criteria and recruitment conditions, vocational guidance etc.

16 Obligations As an EU citizen one must: Respect the culture of every EU member.

17 Obligations As an EU citizen one must: The compliance with the laws of every country member of the EU.

18 Obligations As an EU citizen one must: The ensuring of peaceful coexistence within the borders of all EU members.
