2 About me? doctorate degree from International Islamic University, Islamabad. Teaching and research since 1999 ‘Lead Master Trainer’ 20 research papers seven conferences both nationally and internationally three research projects funded by different agencies working on HEC funded research project reviewer of seven journals COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad as Assistant Professor and also HEC approved supervisor.

3 Why study IR? State living in isolation is not possible today. The states today are closely tied to one another. Studying about them is a necessity. IR helps you in understanding the present world and how it get here It provides insight about many issues revolving around our lives such as national borders, peace and conflicts, human rights, business activities, cultural exchange etc. Learning from past for a better future – full of peace, mutual cooperation, respect, prosperity etc. International relations is closely related to many other subjects, including politics, economics, history, law, psychology and sociology

4 What career can I adopt by studying IR? There is no future in a job, the future lies in the person holding the job The best-known international career is Foreign service. Defense Department (both military and civilian) International Organizations, Multi-national companies and NGOs Political parties and government analysts, experts, policies Print Media and electronic media (Anchor person, reporters, analyst, expert, editors, etc.) University Teaching and Research And many more……………

5 HUM 221 International Relations 3 credit hour Course Objectives  Acquaint the students with the meaning and significance of International Relations.  To produced quality graduates for understanding and fulfilling their duties and responsibilities at national and international level.  Acquired knowledge and understanding of the issues and problems in the international world.
