2 Paris, June 9th 2010 ADDRESS INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ADDRESS International Student Contest The success of the ADDRESS project highly depends on the acceptance by consumers, domestic and small commercial Dissemination of the ADDRESS vision - also before results can be shown Dissemination to the general public: a key issue Specialists (research, utilities, energy supply & retail, manufacturing, ICT), alone are not well suited for the dissemination to the general public University students are in the middle betweeen specialists and general public

3 Paris, June 9th 2010 ADDRESS INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ADDRESS International Student Contest In January 2010 the ADDRESS Consortium has issued an international contest for University students The award: a money prize and a trip for two in Paris The submission - comic strip- animated cartoon - short video on what an ADDRESS future might be The ideal entry –A combination of clear understanding of the features of the ADDRESS electricity networks of the future, ingenuity in explaining them to the general public, appealing visual presentation –Evidence of the central role of the consumer for the success of the ADDRESS ideas

4 Paris, June 9th 2010 ADDRESS INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ADDRESS International Student Contest Suggestion to form teams with students with different background, and possibly from different schools (e.g. engineering and social/human sciences) Student teams tutored by an academic Five products –two comic strips (Siena) –one animated cartoon (Pontificia Comillas Madrid) –two short videos (Cassino) During lunch: top three products –Using innovative technologies to achieve a sustainable and interactive energy system, University Pontificia Comillas –The date, University of Cassino –The electrical office, University of Cassino

5 Paris, June 9th 2010 ADDRESS INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ADDRESS International Student Contest The jury: ABB, EDF-SA, ENEL Distribuzione, Iberdrola The motivation for the winner: –Excellent contribution with the best production quality and "fun" aspect. It also works as a good invitation to people to actively manage their energy (comfort setting, washing machine setting). Although not all project ideas were explored and presented, in this case "less is more", so we select you as the winner of the competition. And the winner is
