Required Equipment Scissors Ethernet Cabling (CAT5) Crimping tool 2 RJ45 plugs Cable tester

Making the Cable Strip about 1,5cm of cabling shield from both ends – use the round area on the crimping tool Untangle the wire Arrange the wires in this order: white/green stripe, green, white/orange stripe, white/brown stripe and brown (A side) Arrange the wires in this order: white/orange stripe, orange, white/green stripe, blue solid, white/blue tripe, green solid, white / brown stripe(B side)

Crimping When you’ve got the order correct, bunch them together in a line. If you have some that stick up beyond the others, use the crimping tool to crop them back to a uniform level.

Crimping Continued The hardest part is placing these into the RJ45 plug without messing up the order. Hold the plug with the clip side facing away from you; the gold pins should be facing towards you.

Crimping When the wires are sitting tightly in the plug, insert in into the end of your crimping tool and push down .

Result – the light where out of sync indicating the crossover
