3 Agenda for today: Warm-up: HOTS Game-Daily Word Play In order to play, you MUST be quiet Take out a sheet of paper and create as many words from the three letters as possible. At least 3 letter words, only.

5 Mini Lesson: Mentor Sentences: We will work with the following sentence all week. You need to write the sentence down in your IN. Label the page as mentor sentence for the week of November 9 th -13 th, 2015.

6 Directions: Label the top of your page Mentor Sentences Lesson # 1. Write the mentor sentence in your IN. Use 8-10 lines and draw a double entry journal like I have on the next slide. Follow the directions on next slide. Your page should look like my page, except you will fill yours in.

Look at the sentence. What do you notice about the way the sentence is constructed? What evidence do you have?
