2 PISA 2015 background PISA is a collaborative effort of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Council of Ministers of Education Canada (CMEC) and Statistics Canada are responsible for the administration Purpose is to see how well 15-year-olds are prepared to meet challenges of what comes after public education Gives policy information about factors that contribute to the success of students, schools and education systems Rather than simply measuring what students can do, it measures what they can do with what they know
