6 Is This Definition of Ghetto Correct?  American Ghettos’ where created due to segregation laws, the difference between American Ghettos and European ghettos is tat European ghetto’s were walled and gated communities.  American ghetto’s are a result of majorities moving form the cities of America to the suburbs causing a shift of the poor to be relegated to run down urban communities, with no resources because they have been handed to the helpless poor.  Because of this Ghetto equates with poor, and uneducated.

7 The Definition of the Word Ghetto  Ghetto means poor, cheap  Why do people equate the word Ghetto with being black?  Ghetto Is a person who has limited resources and uses them to get by.  The main problem is that people have assumed that ghetto is part of the African American cultural.

8 Television is the main culprit of the Ghetto Stereotype  Television throws images out there making it seem like a “ghetto” lifestyle is cool or life of extreme poverty if the right way to live.  What makes a person Ghetto?  Is it clothes?  Is it that people are the product of their environment?

9 Conclusion  So a person is not ghetto. And neither are their actions.  Ghetto is a noun so it is a segregated community in which racial and national minorities live.  In conclusion a Ghetto is an ethnic neighborhood. It is not a person or a way of acting. A Ghetto is a good thing when used in the right context, but must be clearly defined because of its many uses and misconceptions.
