3 P.E.E.C. POINT POINT - state clearly the point you are making EXPLAIN EXPLAIN - explain the point in more detail relating it to the question EXAMPLE EXAMPLE - good answers will illustrate one or more of the points by giving examples CONCEPT CONCEPT - make sure that at least once in every answer you refer to the concept involved Ah see ye!!!

5 Using ‘flag’ words (Point) first (Point) “The first advantage of the First Past the Post System (F.P.T.P.) is that it usually leads to strong, single party government to represent (Concept) the voters. (Explain) means that (Explain) “This means that it is almost always the case that the government of the United Kingdom is made up of MPs from the same party and avoids coalitions. The party which becomes the government doesn’t have to rely on the support of other parties in Parliament to get it’s policies and laws voted through so the government will be able to run the country more effectively.”

9 Before you can answer a K&U question, you must have the K&U (duh!!) How do you get it? Use your revision checklist and text to find the points and the explanations use your text or other source - especially the media and the internet - to find examples (good examples get good marks) make a plan using the P.E.E. system
