1 Welcome to GCSE Sociology! Miss Afonso This is a GCSE subject and NEW to all of you, so to ensure you get the best grade possible, you will need to work hard! Expectations: -You follow instructions -You respect and listen to other people -You arrive on time to every lesson and wait outside -You complete all class work and Homework to the best of your ability You will be rewarded if you adhere to these expectations! 15 CREATE YOUR OWN SOCIETY! Task: Group work! You were travelling in a jumbo jet which crashed in the middle of a deserted land. The passengers all survived but there is no way to get in contact with anyone. This will now be your new home- and together you must create your own society! Think about: -What do societies need? Law, education, religion? -Will someone be in power? How will you decide this? -Who makes decisions? -Is it fair to all? Use the group role cards. 2 groups will feedback! Task: Group work!
