Sinai he carried two stone tablets with him On these stone tablets were the Ten Commandments The Ten Commandments were the basis of laws for the Israelites The people thought the commandments were God reminding them of the promise he made to Abraham. They also believed that through these commandments God created moral laws for all of humanity to follow
