1. What is Tech Prep? Tech Prep is FREE college credit and a head start on your future. It is a college preparatory program designed to provide you with skills and abilities needed by the business industry. The high school has articulation agreements between the teachers here and the instructors at the Community/Technical colleges. If you earn a B or better you earn the credit!

2. Why Enroll? For one 3 credit class at a community college you will pay approximately….….. $286 Enroll in Tech Prep you pay $0 and get the SAME credit—why not enroll? You will take NO extra tests BONUS …the credits should be transferable to other colleges – To find out how the credits transfer you need to check directly with the college you will be attending

3. Go to this website sers.techprepwa.org

4. Click on “Students Click Here”

5. Click on “Create an Account”

6. If you have already received Tech Prep Credit in the past, you will need your “TP” # to log in. Once you log in this screen will appear and you will get to create a new username and password.

7. All fields with a Red dot are required Username: sn###### Password: You choose-must be at least 5 characters long Email: You must include your email. If you forget your password they will email it to you. They also email confirmations and what credits you signed up for.

8. Once all the fields are filled in, click on the “Submit” button

9. Student Home Page click on “Register for classes”

10. Your high school should auto-populate, if not, click on your high schools name ONLY from the drop down menu and click “Go-Search!” DO NOT CLICK ANY OTHER SECTIONS IN THE DROP DOWN MENU.

11. A list of classes will appear. Find this class on the list and check the box.

12. Scroll back to the top of the page and click the “Register” button

13. This Screen should appear. Make sure the class you are registering for is listed. If the class has additional classes associated with it, these will be displayed and you must select them. If you selected the wrong class select “Cancel Registration” button. To finish the registration, click the “Save and Register” button.

14. After clicking Save and Register the Confirmation page will appear. This will be sent to your email.

15. One last step…..You must earn a “B” or higher to get the credit!
