The Mouth The mouth is the begging of the digestive system. The digestion starts before you take a bite of your meal. The smell of food triggers your saliva. When you take a bite of your meal, your saliva increases more.

Esophagus It pushes what you eat down to your stomach. It is a long tube which allows food to go to your small intestine. When you swallow food goes down to your pharynx into the esophagus.

The Stomach The Stomach The stomach is between the esophagus and the small intestine. It is also called the mid-gut. The stomach is also a muscular. It is the important part of the digestive system.

Small Intestine The small intestine is a tubular structure within the abdominal. It begins with the duodenum. The small intestine grows when the person grows. It grows 20 times in length. It is the main function of this organ is to aid indigestion.

Large Intestine The large intestine does not produces no digestive enzymes. It serves as a reservoir for the liquids. It is much more bigger than the small intestine. It does a secret mucus to help the digestion.

Liver The liver is a helpful part of the body. It cleans your blood. It also produces an important liquid called the bile. It stores in energy called in the form of a sugar called glycogen.

Appendix The appendix is a troublesome pouch attached to the first portion. The digestive system takes place in a watery environment. The appendix is an important role. It does not exist in domestic animals.

Pancreas The pancreas is a part that is mostly unknown. It is a flatted gland. Located deep at the abdomen. The gland is an integral part of the digestive system.

Gall Bladder The gallbladder is a part of the digestive system. Bile is needed to the gall bladder. The gall bladder is connected to the liver. The gall bladder looks much more darker than the liver. The length of the gall bladder is 10 inches.

Enzymes There are two kinds of enzymes. The one I am talking about is the digestive enzymes. The digestive enzymes are tiny protein molecules. Enzymes that break down polymeric macromolecules.

Bile/Bile Duct The bile duct carries bile toward the hepatic. It carries bile to or from the gallbladder. The bile tree is connected to the liver cause of its branches.

Mucus The mucus is a slippery secretion. Mucus liquid is produced from mucus cells. It is also originate from mixed glands.

Chemical Digestion The chemical digestion is helpful to the digestion system. It first starts from the mouth. Then the chemical digestion would break the food down into simpler compound. It would break down the proteins.

Mechanical Digestion The mechanical digestion is similar to the chemical digestion. It also helps the digestive system. It would also start from the mouth. Then the mechanical digestion would also break it down. But instead of simpler compound. It would break it down into smaller pieces.
