8 Why be a test Conference? Better to be a key part of change than to be the passive recipient of a process developed by others. Toronto Conference is well suited, as it has four Presbyteries with ½ time Conference Personnel in each Presbytery Has shown ability to adapt to change

9 Conference preparation Role of the Settlement and Pastoral Relations Committee Matching eligible ministers with eligible Local Ministry Units Role of the Personnel Minister, oversight and discipline

10 Settlement and Pastoral Relations Approves all calls and appointments Liaisons for all search committees Training and support for search committees Covenanting services

14 Results Local Ministry Units can articulate their mission and goals Pastoral relationships are nurtured Ministry Personnel are supported Ministers and ministries achieve a better match based on mission priorities and skills Presbyteries do not discipline their own members
