Piccadilly Circus A square that is the symbol and the heart of London.
The statue of Eros can be found here. It’s a busy meeting point and a tourist attraction. Shopping and entertainment area.

St Paul’s Cathedral It’s the second largest church in the world.
Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer here.

British Museum One of the most important museums in the world.
It contains rich collections from all over the world and has become one of the best libraries.

Westminster Abbey It’s the London Royal Church.
All the Kings and Queens have been crowned here in the “Coronation Chair”

Buckingham Palace Official residence of the Queen and the Royal Family when they are in London. The Changing of the Guard (a colourful ceremony) takes place in front of the Palace.

TOWER OF LONDON It was built to be a fortress, then it was a prison and it was even a zoo! today it’s a museum where the Crown Jewels are kept. Its guards are the Beefeaters.

Tower Bridge It’s the lowest bridge over the river Thames.
It opens and closes when ships pass.

Big Ben Famous clock tower in London near the Houses of Parliament.
It was named after the first commissioner of works Sir Benjamin Hall.
