3 Warm upp T divided the class into 4 groups and every group will choose one number. T will read the cues and Ss guess. Gr 1: It was invented in 1925 and two colors: black and white. What is it? Gr 2: We can listen to the news but we can’t see it. What is it? Gr 3: It contains information and pictures. What is it? Gr 4: We use it to find information quickly, chat with friends and send email. What is it ? T checks the answer. We will learn the new lesson: THE MASS MEDIA. Television Radio Newspapers The Internet

6 Activity 2: Work in pairs. Work out what features the types of the mass media have in common and what main feature each of them has. Use cues in activity 1: Eg: A: When do you often get information ? B : From TV. A : What is the difference between getting information from TV and Radio. B: TV presents information and entertainment visually and we receive them through eyes.

7 Activity 3: Work in groups. Talk about the different types of the mass media. Answer the following questions. 1.What are different types of the mass media? 2.What features do they have in common? 3.What are their distinctive features?, films, Television books, magazines, radio, newspapers, the Internet. Provide / deliver informations and entertainment. TV presents informations and entertainment orally and visually.
