1 Click the mouse to continue. Using styles A style is a saved collection of formatting, such as a font, font size, pattern, and alignment, that you can combine, name, and save as a group. A style can include any of these six attributes.

2 Click the mouse to continue. Using styles Once you save a style, you can apply it to a cell or range to save time and maintain consistency in formatting. Excel has six predefined styles. By default, every cell is initially formatted with the Normal style.

3 Click the mouse to continue. Creating a style by example You can create a style in two ways. One way is to use an example of the cell that has the formats you want to associate with a style. 1. Select a cell containing the formats you want to include in the style.
