1 Selkirk, where your hosts live their Canadian lives. (Written by Zack)

2 Selkirk, our home. Selkirk is a small is city in Southern Manitoba, with a population of 10 000, give or take. We often have serious floods in the Spring, as we are right next to a large river. Never fun. We have Lower Fort Garry just outside the city, and a large steel mill on the outskirts, near where I (Zack) live. It certainly makes a lot of noise!!

4 In Canada, numerous lifestyles are lived. Mostly, in Canada, you get up, survive, and go back to bed. Surviving! The details of the survival are the interesting part. They often involve going to school, doing your work, and then going home. Going to sports also has a role, but I don’t cover that. That’s Owen’s job. For me, weekends involve waking up, video games, walking to the local convenience store, and biking around the city. I also listen to music, a LOT. Mainly rock groups. Summer’s are often really hot, and winter’s are cold. Good thing we’re used to it. Canada’s an intense country weather wise, so the people need to adapt to it all the time. Other peoples’ lives revolve around sports, and sometimes, not as useful things. Oh well, we root out those with the smaller chances of survival, so we don’t need to worry. Of course, Andrew likes to hurt me, so my chances aren’t so good either. Oh well. Not much happens out of school. You hang out with friends, do your homework, watch TV, play video games, sports, go to movies. Living the Good Life!

12 Life in Canada can vary incredibly. Many lifestyles are lived every day. Whether you are hardworking and overly smart, or a bit of a slacker who doesn’t care about school (Trust us, there are some…), you simply live your life in and out of school here in Canada. You can play sports or play music or build guitars or act or simply not do anything, it’s entirely up to you when you live here in Canada! Goodbyes from the four of us, eh?
