1. To begin your item request, visit the online catalog by clicking the catalog link on the library homepage Search the catalog for the title of the item you would like to request

2. When you find the correct listing for the item, click on the title link to access the holding information

3. You can request the item from the holding screen by clicking the “request” link on the item toolbar

4. You will be asked to input your student ID number and last name After logging in, select the appropriate link for your request

5. The instructions and copy format are automatically filled in for you. Be sure to specify where you can pick up the item and leave a comment

6. When you click “submit” you will be taken back to the item’s holding page At the bottom of this screen, you can see that the item now has your request noted You will receive a notice in your Northwestern e- mail account when the item is available
