2 Vicksburg changed the out come of the war because who ever controlled Vicksburg controlled Vicksburg, controlled who and what went down the Mississippi River.

3 The Union wanted to take of Vicksburg because. If they take over Vicksburg the will have total control over the Mississippi

4 Vicksburg is located on a hairpin turn on a bluff over looking the Mississippi River.

5 The main reason the Confederates surrendered at Vicksburg is they were low on food and supplies.

6 By defeating the Confederates at Vicksburg the Union gained complete control of the Mississippi water way.
