1 April 17, 2012 Expanded Success Initiative Request for Listing Webinar for Approved Organizations

2 2 A list of approved organizations is featured on the RFL page of The Fund for Public Schools (FPS) website here www.nycgrads.org/expandedsuccessinitiative_RFL_info.www.nycgrads.org/expandedsuccessinitiative_RFL_info Schools are able to sort listed applicant data on a private DOE site. Schools have access to full RFL applications for each organization as well as VoiceThread presentations. The listing is provided as a service to create partnerships between ESI schools and approved organizations. Approved organizations may not contact schools or Networks directly to solicit services. ESI schools are not obligated to use external organizations for any part of the initiative. If a school opts to work with an external organization as part of the ESI initiative, it will only select from the list of approved organizations. Even if an organization is approved to be listed, it is not guaranteed that its services will be procured by any participating ESI school. Depending on the results of the Design Challenge application process, even if a participating ESI school contacts an organization to negotiate services, that school may not receive ESI funding. 6 Schools initiate contact and will do so either as an individual school via Principal or across schools via Network representative. Schools may initiate contact both before and after school selection phase. It will be possible to insert approved organizations post school selection phase. Schools may opt to procure services in a particular activity area (i.e. digital literacy) or across a component service (i.e. all activity areas under technical assistance) within the approval areas for each organization. Schools may opt to partner with multiple organizations from the approved list. Design Challenge award recipients and their selected organizations from the approved list will agree upon a Scope of Work with services within the approval areas and a budget with pricing for one year of service. Pricing for one year of service should be aligned with the pricing outlined in the RFL application. Design Challenge award recipients and their selected organizations from the approved list will present the agreed upon SOW to FPS and then begin the FPS contracting process. Pending SOW approval, contracts can begin after July 1, 2012 for one year of service. Contracts are renewable within the grant period pending agreement between the organization, school, and FPS. 6 NEGOTIATING SERVICES WITH SCHOOLS

7 7 Approved organizations that are selected by Design Challenge award recipients must have the ability to meet the requirements of the Fund for Public Schools contracting process.
