UAMPS VIEW ON CPP COMPLIANCE Impacts of CPP compliance on UAMPS will depend on the following: Uncertain Cost of CPP Compliance Will fixed O & M costs for coal be competitive if allowances cannot be acquired? Coal plant output may have to be reduced, reducing coal’s cost competiveness by having the same fixed O & M amortized over fewer MWh Similar issue with fixed fuel Coupled with Other Clean Air Act Compliance Obligations on Affected EGUs Allocation of CO 2 allowances by States under a mass based plan approach UAMPS’ CPP Compliance will focus on: Replacement of Coal Baseload Generation and Market Purchases with zero CO 2 emitting resources Incremental generation from load growth will be met by Energy Efficiency
