Critical Thinking Tasks for your group presentations

Start by going around the circle

Some questions to consider asking: What points of view are we bringing to this presentation? What FBIs will affect our participation? What is the purpose of the presentation? What is our concept for this presentation? How will we frame the Q at I for our audience? What assumptions will our audience bring to the presentation? What FBIs?

More questions What kinds of information will we need and where will we get it? What assumptions are we making about responsibilities among team members? What alternatives do we need to plan for? What is a reasonable time schedule? How are we going to communicate? How will we handle leadership responsibilities? What consequences will there be for meeting group goals? For not meeting them? and so on….

Remember that despite your individual styles and FBIs, You have collective responsibilities. Everybody has a super-busy schedule. You have enough time to get this done.

You have both time and resources… Facebook Google Sites E-mail Face to face meetings (common meeting times TR 11-12:15) Conferences with Dr K Limited class “group time”

You may want to create a chart that shows your expectations and assumptions Think about how you want to subdivide tasks and allocate them among group members. Look carefully at your individual calendars so that you can coordinate your group activities. The graph shown is made using a stacked bar chart in Excel. You can create a similar Gannt chart in Open Office.calc.
