During the Fath year, the Messenger of Allah went out with his companions heading to Mecca, Abou Said Al Khedri (RAA) was with them. Muhammed & his companions were fasting, when they reached a certain place, the Messenger of Allah ordered them to reside there

Then he told them "You became very near to your enemy, so breaking your fast will make stronger." Some of them break their fast, while others didn't. Then they traveled to Mecca and stayed there. The Messenger of Allah said: “you will reach your enemy in the morning, so breaking your fast will strengthen you”. Therefore, they obeyed the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), all of them ate & drank. People asked Abou Said Al Khedri (RAA) about fasting during travel, he told this story then said "Breaking your fast
