The Ranet ek carries the melody in the pi phat ensemble A wat is a buddist church festival Ranets (xylephones) and khongs (gongs) tune by adding or removing a mixture of beexwax or lead to their gong or bar.

15 CFU: Snowball Create one question from the phacts you learned in our class today. Write it on a piece of paper along with your name and then crumple it up and throw it to the front of the room. When you are instructed to, go up and choose one snowball. Open it up and answer the question then turn it in. This will count as your exit ticket for today.

The Mahori orchestra, being much softer and mellower, was sometimes preferred over the percussive pi pat orchestra for royal banquets. Mahori is a stringed band. This spiked fiddle called the saw sam sai leads the ensemble.

19 Write your script In your groups from yesterday, write a script. Either use the Haruman story from the Ramayana or develop your own story. Remember to write it in dialogue form. It may be helpful to write out a short synopsis first. Scripts must be at least 2 pages in length. The completed shadow puppet assignment is worth 100 mastery points.
