You group will be assigned to one of six political cartoons on the Monroe Doctrine.
Analyze the cartoon and discuss the questions on your TACOS worksheet with your group as you rotate stations.
After analyzing the cartoon, summarize the main idea of the cartoon under the appropriate picture on your organizer.
You will have 3-4 mins for each station.

10. Summary: What is the main goal of foreign policy in the United States?
What did President Monroe hope to accomplish by issuing the Monroe Doctrine?
Does Monroe’s idea/Doctrine still exist today? Examples?
