4 NOUNS refer to any place, person, thing, or idea.
The sun heats up water in rivers lakes or ocean and turns it into vapor or steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake or ocean and goes into the air. Index

5 PRONOUNS Take the place of a noun
As Water Vapor in the air gets cold, it changes back into liquid forming clouds. Index

6 VERBS Show action or state of being, and the time of that action or state.
This occurs when so much water has condensed that the air cannot hold it anymore. The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in the form of rain, hail or snow. Index

7 ADJECTIVES Describe nouns and specify size, color, number, and so on
ADJECTIVES Describe nouns and specify size, color, number, and so on. This is called modifying. When water falls back to earth as precipitation, it is then collected back in the oceans, lakes or rivers or it may end up on the land as groundwater. Then the cycle start all over again. Index

8 Now, Let’s review the four stages of the Water Cycle.
ADVERBS Describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs, and specify in what manner, when, where, and how much. Now, Let’s review the four stages of the Water Cycle. Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers or lakes or the ocean and turns it into vapor or steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake or ocean and goes into the air. Index

9 PREPOSITIONS Show how a noun or pronoun is related to another word in a sentence.
Water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds. This is called condensation. Index

10 CONJUNCTIONS Join words, phrases, or clauses.
Precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that the air cannot hold it anymore. The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet or snow. Index

11 INTERJECTIONS Are sudden, interrupting words or phrases that are also know as exclamations. They are often signaled by an exclamation mark. Collection is when water falls back to earth as precipitation. It may fall back in the oceans, lakes or rivers or it may end up on land.  When it ends up on land, it will either soak into the earth and become part of the “ground water” that plants and animals use to drink or it may run over the soil and collect in the oceans, lakes or rivers where, guess what, the cycle starts all over again. Index
