The Parables of Jesus Persisting in Righteousness Luke 18 & Matthew 21

Luke 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

Persistence with a purpose To always pray To always pray To never give up To never give up

Luke 18:2-5 He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'4 "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, 5 yet because this widow keeps

Luke 18:2-5 bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!' "

Luke 18:6-8 And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off ? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

God will bring justice to His chosen ones His chosen ones His chosen ones God brings justice God brings justice

When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?

This is His definition of Faith for us To always pray To always pray To never give up To never give up

Matthew 21:28-30 "What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work today in the vineyard.' 29 " 'I will not,' he answered, but later he changed his mind and went. 30"Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, 'I will, sir,' but he did not go.

Matthew 21:31-32 "Which of the two did what his father wanted?" "The first," they answered. Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.

The same is true for us today Righteousness isn’t found in saying the right thing – but in doing the right thing Righteousness isn’t found in saying the right thing – but in doing the right thing Righteousness is a choice that is shown by our deeds – not our words Righteousness is a choice that is shown by our deeds – not our words

When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?

Are you persistent in Righteousness? To always pray To always pray To never give up To never give up
