4 LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME GRUNDTVIG LEARNING PARTNERSHIP LEARNING PARENTS … the United Parents’ Association involvement. New teachers come, since they unfortunately change every one or two years. As a result, the development of a constructive and trustful relationship between students, teachers and parents becomes difficult. To this end, our United Parents’ Association, which was created 2 years ago (and plans to continue its work in the foreseeable future) is organizing: Parents’ – teachers’ meetings aiming to get to know each other better. At these meetings traditional food and desserts are offered. Traditional dancing courses in which students and teachers participate (there are no other cultural organizations in Chalki) Cinema club which, with the Principal and teachers’ cooperation, shows movies regularly (there is no cinema or theater on the island)
