5 Lacrosse Board Mission Statement
A club sport is no different than any other sport. It participates in interscholastic competition, abides by the MHSAA rules and operates under the supervision of the high school principal, the athletic director and coach. It is, however, funded outside of the athletic department budget. In other words, we the parents, alumni and community are the financiers of lacrosse at Pioneer High School. Our job is to support this program as it tries to remain one of the top-five public school programs in the state.

6 Becoming Un-Funded Varsity (aka Club)
Our operating plan and budget were approved March 2012 We have been a 501(c) 3 organization since 1991 Our Faculty sponsor is JR We must turn in team roster to Athletic Department one week prior to each grade check date to determine eligibility All club members must have current physicals All club members must pay an insurance fee ($30 on line ) Club sports and coaches will comply with all Michigan High School Athletic Association, league rules and Ann Arbor Public Schools rules and regulations. Athletic Director hires, evaluates and fires all coaches. Varsity letters will be awarded by the school and paid for by the club. There is no charge for use of high school facility but the high school Athletic Department will collect any gate charges.
