Follow the related set of slides and your Thinking with Technology manual to guide you through the exploration and development of your own Thinking Tool project sample and embedding it into your unit plan. Work collaboratively in your group to plan your showcase this afternoon. Remember to demonstrate best practice in use of the tool, and how and why the tool is a good ‘fit’ for particular units of work. Following lunch, and up until approx 2 pm, you will work together once more as a class on the assessment component of Module 11, prior to the showcase during the afternoon.

Rubrics are distinguished from other scoring tools, like checklists, because they outline levels of quality with descriptors. The main goal of a rubric is to define levels of quality and "publicise" these expectations to students, parents, and others. You can use events like a showcase to allow the greater community to provide input to your students and to celebrate their achievements.
