2 Assume To take for granted or without proof Example: Don’t just assume that because you want something you will get it.

3 Persevere To persist in anything undertaken; maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty, obstacles or discouragement

5 Significant Important; of consequence Example: there is a significant difference between a hurricane and a tornado.

6 Genre A class or category of artistic endea vor having a particular form, content, technique Example: Poetry is one genre of writing.

7 Evident Plain or clear to the sight or understanding Example: It was evident by the look on her face that she was very happy.

8 Context The parts of a written or spoken statement that precede (come before) or follow a specific word or passage, usually influencing its meaning or effect Example: Context clues are words in the text that help you figure out what a word means.
