Only for Loneworkers

People who work alone (day- or nightshifts, or self- employment) are initially on their own in the case of an emergency. That is why the safety of lone workers requires extra attention. A lone worker is someone who works out of sight or earshot of other people. Only for Loneworkers

My Bodyguard has developed a lone workers concept. The concept links a request for help to a safety worker. The request for help can be triggered manually by pressing just one or two buttons. However, if the user is no longer capable of doing a manual request, for instance while being unconscious, a request for help can also be activated automatically if insufficient motion is detected. This concept is called "man down". Only for Loneworkers

My-Bodyguard Technical Specification : Size 84x75x32 mm. Weight 165 g. Operating time 24 hour. IP Code 54 dustproof and splash proof GPS 20 channel receiver. GSM dual band 900/1800 Mhz. 2.4 Ghz transmitter / receiver ZigBit. On order EX approved. The technique

GSM Network outside buildings. My-Bodyguard uses the GSM network to send emergency calls. It is important that at all locations outside, where employees are working there is GSM coverage. The technique

GSM Network indoor. It is also important that there is good GSM network present inside buildings. If not present an offer can be made for GSM repeaters inside buildings. If the loneworker is in areas where GSM coverage is not present, in an excess of a preset time it will be reported as alarms. The technique

There is an important role for a good functioning central alarm service. They are leading to ensure that the request for help with all important information is send to the helpers in the field. Central Alarm Service

Reports may be transmitted in various ways to the helpers in the field. Calling multiple helpers. First send an SMS/E-Mail and then call the helpers for check. There may be a link between your alarmpost an the Central Alarm Service as an annex (software required). Central Alarm Service

To the alarm service central it is essential that the correct information is send as quickly as possible to the helpers. Outside buildings the position of the loneworkers is calculated by the use of GPS. For enclosed areas, within fences, addresses of standard maps are not good to use, the right addresses should be separately added to our database. Central Alarm Service

For the yellow shaded area is the business address “Eeftinkstraat 4”. When you request a position at the green arrow in Google Maps the address returned is “De Klomp 22”, which is the location where the red arrow is pointing.

GPS doesn’t work inside buildings. Therefore measures must be made in the case loneworkers are working in buildings. There are three different ways to do this: Central Alarm Service

1. You can us socalled Ibuttons in combination with an Ibuttonreader. The loneworker has to report where he works for every room with the IButton, then in case of an emergency the location of the last IButton read will be reported to the Central Alarm Service. Central Alarm Service

2. Data is provided showing all addresses and locations where the worker may be located in an emergency. This solution is widely used in e.g. the nursing staff. Central Alarm Service

3. You use beacons that automattically register in what room the loneworker is in the case of an emergency. Central Alarm Service

The loneworkers can send various request for help, depending on the urgency. The report with the highest urgency in activated by pressing both the red and the green button. There are multiple ways of arranging how to react: Police Ambulance Fire department Corporate safety service Own security Colleagues Central Alarm Service

Lower emergency reports are activated by pressing only the red button. Lower emergency reports are cases like for example: being stuck in a room. There are multiple ways of arranging how to react: Corporate safety service Own security Colleagues Central Alarm Service

The report by insufficient movement “man down”. Man Down means that a loneworker is not capable of pressing the button to sound the alarm himself. There are multiple ways of arranging how to react : Corporate safety service Own security Colleagues First user then colleages Central Alarm Service

For a well working concept the it has to be properly organized on a organizational level. The support of the enduser (loneworker) is very important. Organizational

For the right use proper explenation is required. Organizational

It is important the the complete concept is checked on proper use and funtioning. A report will be send the person reponcible for guiding the people about the theme working alone. Organizational

Within 7 days after shipment you need to make an alarm with the red button on the My-Bodyguard. Before you do anything read the instruction manual thoroughly. In case the alarm is not made within 7 days you will be called with the request to make the alarm. Warning: You are not connected to the alarm service central untill this alarm has come through correctly. First alarms

You can send different alarm calls, depending on how urgent help is needed. The alarm with the highest urgency is activated by pressing the red and green button at the same time. There are multiple ways of arranging how to react: Police Ambulance Fire department Corporate safety service Own security Colleagues Highest Urgency Alarm Press for a minimum of 3 seconds on the Red and Green button. Keep pressing until the unit Vibrates long.

Alarm with the highest urgency by pressing the Red and Green button. You have to press the buttons until the My-Bodyguard vibrates long. The light on the front will now glow red. You get a voiceconnection and can talk the dispatcher. Highest Urgency Alarm

In case you move or the location that was send was incorrect the My-Bodyguard will make the alarm again. You will again get a voiceconnection with the dispatcher. Highest Urgency Alarm

After help has arrived or the test is completed you have to end the alarm with the Green button. Highest Urgency Alarm Press for a minimum of 3 seconds on the Green button. Keep pressing until the unit Vibrates long.

You will not get a voiceconnection and can’t talk to the dispatcher. You can’t do this untill the connection with the alarm service central is gone. The light on the My-Bodyguard should be blinking green again before you do this. Highest Urgency Alarm

The alarm with a lower urgency is activated by pressing the red button. Lower urgency means for example: being locked in a room. There are multiple ways of arranging how to react: Corporate safety service Own security Colleagues Lower Urgency Alarm Press for a minimum of 3 seconds on the Red button. Keep pressing until the unit Vibrates long.

Alarm with lower urgency by pressing the red button. You have to press the button until the My-Bodyguard vibrates long. The light on the front will now glow red. You get a voiceconnection and can talk the dispatcher. Lower Urgency Alarm

In case you move or the location that was send was incorrect the My-Bodyguard will make the alarm again. You will again get a voiceconnection with the dispatcher. Lower Urgency Alarm

After help has arrived or the test is completed you have to end the alarm with the Green button. Lower Urgency Alarm Press for a minimum of 3 seconds on the Green button. Keep pressing until the unit Vibrates long.

The alarm by consciousness detection “man down”. Man Down means that a lone-worker is not able to press a button to actively make an alarm. There are multiple ways of arranging how to react : Corporate safety service Own security Colleagues First user then colleages Consciousness detection “ Man down”

Alarm by consciousness detection. The My-Bodyguard automatically makes an alarm if it hasn’t moved enough for seven minutes. You will be warned by a pre-alarm. The My-Bodyguard will then beep and vibrate for 30 seconds. In case you don’t press one of the buttons within those 30 seconds the alarm will be made to the central alarm cervice. You will the get a voiceconnection and can talk with the dispatcher. Consciousness detection “ Man down”

After help has arrived or the test is completed you have to end the alarm with the Green button. Consciousness detection “ Man down” Press for a minimum of 3 seconds on the Green button. Keep pressing until the unit Vibrates long.

It is important that the complete concept is checked for proper operation and use. A report will be send to the person responsible for supervising and guiding employees about working alone. Checking for proper operation

After a preset time the My- Bodyguard automatically gives a signal to the alarm service central. If this isn’t possible, for example in case a bad GSM connection, it will be reported to you. The My-Bodyguard will then vibrate for 10 seconds every 5 minutes. Checking for proper operation

You need report by pressing the Green button. In case you are in a room with bad or no GSM coverage you will need to leave that room. Make the report outside the room and then return to the room. Checking for proper operation Press for a minimum of 3 seconds on the Green button. Keep pressing until the unit Vibrates long.

You will not get a voiceconnection and can’t talk to the dispatcher. You can’t do this before you have a connection with the GSM network and the My-Bodyguard is on standby again. The light on the frontside needs to be blinking green again. The My-Bodyguard will not react to any buttons when it doesn’t have a connection with the GSM network. Checking for proper operation

In case the alarm service central doesn’t get any reports from the My-Bodyguard within a preset time it will be handled as an alarm. There are multiple ways of arranging how to react : Corporate safety service Own security Colleagues First user then colleages Checking for proper operation

You can use the My-Bodyguard for 24 hours before it has to go on the charger again. When you connect the My-Bodyguard to the charger the My-Bodyguard will give one short beep and vibration.

Checking for proper operation To fully charge the My-Bodyguard it needs to be connected to the charger for at least 4 hours.

When the battery of the My- Bodyguard is almost empty it will give you a signal. The My-Bodyguard Will then vibrate shortly every 5 minutes. You then need to charge the My- Bodyguard as soon as possible. Checking for proper operation

Overview of the different signals. Pre-alarm consciousness detection The My-Bodyguard will then beep and vibrate for 30 seconds. Battery almost empty The My-Bodyguard will then vibrate shortly every 5 minutes. My-Bodyguard has no GSM network. The My-Bodyguard will then vibrate for 10 seonds every 5 minutes. Checking for proper operation

Thank you for your attention
