13 Trends in Agriculture Work Force in India
263 million people (54.6%) are engaged in the agriculture sector and over half of them are now agricultural labourers (Census, 2011) Total Agricultural Workers expected to decline to 190 million (2022) (expected decline of 33%). (IAMR, 2013) In Agriculture sector about 18.5% of the workers were skilled in (IAMR), of which Less than 0.5 per cent have formal technical education

Rapidly emerging new job segments - Agri Warehousing, Cold Chain, Logistics & Supply Chain - Commodity & Financial Markets - Digital & Agriculture Technology , Weather Forecasting - Dairy, Poultry, Meat, Fisheries, Horticulture, - Alternate energy (Solar, Biomass etc) - Farm Mechanization, Micro Irrigation etc - Protected Cultivation ( Green House, Hydroponics etc) - Bamboo, Honey, Medicinal & Herbal, Organic etc - New requirements in Seeds, Pesticides, Fertilizers etc - Great Opportunity to Skill Youth for employment in High demand Jobs & Self Employment

1. Engagement Commenced with Extension Division & Horticulture Division 2. Developed Draft Occupational Standard for ACABC Enterpreneurs. Improving basis MANAGE Feedback 3. Bee Keeping Curriculum getting aligned. 4. First TOT in Bee Keeping using NBB SME in first week of January.

17 Other PoSSIBLE COLLABORATION : ASCI- daC
Identifying high employability Job Roles and subsequent development of National Occupational Standards (NOS) & Training modules for the same Affiliation of DAC training Centres without any charges in simplified format Joint Development of Curriculum aligned with NOSs for training of farmers, Trainers and Extension Workers. ASCI and its affiliated training providers can work along and supplement State Agriculture Departments. Optimal utilization of infrastructure & SMEs for ‘Train The Trainer’ programs wherever possible. National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) aligned and Industry recognized certificate for trainees Recognition to Prior Learning (RPL) programs aligned to NSQF for semi skilled & Skilled Workforce Promotion of Self Employment/Entrepreneurship based Job Roles Setting up of segment wise Centre of Excellence with involvement of Industry Subsector specific skill gap studies viz. Commodities ( NIAM) , Cold Chain (NCCD), Cooperative (NCDC)

18 SUPPORT EXPECTED FROM DAC
Use of Govt Infrastructure for conducting Training as well as TOT Programs Linking with different agriculture bodies through an Advisory Mobilization of already trained workforce/ Officials under various programs of DAC for RPL certification Providing SMEs as Master Trainers for ToT Programs Development of LMIS / Skill Development Plan in Agriculture & Horticulture across the States Providing a list of recent retired officers who can be accessed as Trainers and Assessors by TPs and Assessment bodies. Advisory to major Players for utilization of CSR Funds for Skilling in Agriculture. Funding for sub sectoral skill gap study under DAC scheme if possible
