1 2015 Kewaunee Stocking Recap 3,300 fish were raised and planted last year (2014) from Kewaunee 4,800 fish were raised and released on 9/25 from the first (original pond). Average length was 11” 900 fish were raised and planted from the “new” pond on 9/28. Average length was 11.5” These were all raised by the egg collection on the Fox River on May 5 th of 2015 Total of 5,700 fish were released from both ponds into the Fox, Menominee and Sturgeon Bay The DNR uses a CF (condition factor) for a way to determine the success of the rearing of fish. 8 Notes Mike Keyes will be posting a video that will show all the stages and steps of this year's stocking from Kewaunee (minus the egg collection) to his FB page and Youtube channel Get your pictures out on FB and to the officers Ideas on Boat raffle locations- See Rob Brice In 2010 32% of anglers targeting Muskies were residents. 39% were non- residents Fin Ray testing is being done. If this pans out, this will be a non-lethal way to age fish if not PIT tagged at the time of stocking or capture Scot Stewart has retired from the WDNR. He was instrumental on keeping muskie stocking numbers where they are. Tim Simonson has put in for his position. Tim Penniston (president of the Wisconsin Alliance) has been asked to be a reference for him on this position. Everything I have seen from Tim has been professional and thought out. I would support him if asked by the WDNR
