The objective pronoun form is used as object of a preposition. The problem of which pronoun form to use as the object of a preposition arises only when the object is compound. Say it alone to figure out which works best.

The preposition ‘between’ causes especially noticeable errors in pronoun usage. Use only the objective pronoun forms after ‘between’ Wrong – between you and he Right – between you and him Wrong – between she and I Right – between her and me

In a construction such as ‘we girls’ or ‘us boys’, the use of the noun determines the case form of the pronoun. We girls can bring the lunch. The club gave the equipment to us girls.

We received Christmas cards from (they, them). (We, Us) students love going out on Saturday night. The doctor gave virus shots to both the coaches and (we, us). The work was not too difficult for (we, us) girls. Between you and (he, him), I think you are the best for the job.
