Article 7: REGIONAL WORKING GROUPS 1) INTOSAI will recognize Regional Working Groups of its members established for the purpose of promoting the professional and technical cooperation of the member institutions on a regional basis. 2) Requests for recognition shall be submitted in writing to the Governing Board of INTOSAI by the Secretary General of the Regional Working Group expressing the readiness to cooperate within the framework of INTOSAI and in accordance with the Statutes. 3) Regional coordinator in conjunction with the Regions, will establish Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) containing the following elements: a) reporting responsibilities by the Region to the coordinator in terms of SAI information ; b) reports on the assessment of capacity needs by the Regions to carry out their responsibilities; c) reporting on the monitoring and evaluation of SAI practices by Regions; d) Feedback to the regional coordinator on the implementation of INTOSAI strategy and operational plan; and, e) feedback to the regional coordinator on the effectiveness of the global products of INTOSAI, for example, documents within the ISSAI framework.
