4. 3. Response to Stimuli- a reaction to an action Stimulus- something that causes a reaction or a response Ex: You shiver when your cold Respond to environment Aka.. SENSITIVITY

5. 4. Growth- to develop emotionally & physically over time Cells multiply Cells get larger (1x celled organisms)

6. 5. Movement- internal or external motion Ex: running, heart beating, blood flowing, flowers bending toward sun, trees move water from ground to leaves

7. 6. Excretion- to get rid of waste Ex: animals go to the “bathroom”, trees release oxygen from leaves

8. 7. Nutrition- to get basic needs met (food, water, nutrients)

10. Organism- any living thing

11. Homeostasis- regulation of an organism’s internal conditions, despite change in the environment Ex: keeping right amount of food, sugar & water in cells Ex: keeping body temp around 98.6 degrees F
