2  “Protective gear is anything that helps keep you from getting hurt- KidsHealth.org  “All children, no matter what age, should wear appropriate safety gear and equipment that fits properly” – Safe Kids USA

3  Any injury can happen as a result of falls, collisions, or being struck by an object – Safe Kids USA

4  Always wear a well fitted helmet  Have the right size bike

5 Use a quality skateboard Wear a properly fitted helmet Wear wrist guards Wear knee and elbow pads Always wear shoes

6  Players should wear:  Helmet – with face mask, chin strap, and mouth piece  Shoulder pads, Hip Pads, Tail Pads, Knee Pads  Thigh Guards  Mouth Guard  Shoes

7  The proper equipment for hockey is:  Correctly fitted skates  Properly fitted helmet  Mouth guard  Shoulder pads  Elbow pads  Gloves  Hockey pants with good thigh, hip, and tailbone protection  Shin Guards

8  Players should have:  Batting helmets  Mouth guards  Sliding pants  Shin pads  Catchers should wear a helmet with a facemask, throat guard, chest protector

9  Players should wear the following protective equipment:  Soccer Cleats  Shin Guards  Soccer Socks  Mouth Guards

10  Men’s lacrosse  Chest and shoulder pads  Arm guards  Helmet with full face mask  Mouth guard Women’s lacrosse  Lacrosse goggles  Mouth guard

11  The key to avoiding injuries is to wear the proper fitting protective gear for the sport of your choice!  Have fun….but keep yourself safe!
