Biological drawings are especially important when trying to explain difficult concepts or describe complex structures

3. BIOLOGICAL DRAWINGS Use a BLANK sheet of paper Use a sharp PENCIL
Make sure your drawing is large enough to show necessary detail (~1/2 a page) with enough space for labels
Place all labels to the RIGHT of the drawing
When indicated, make your drawing to scale (see textbook for details)
Make sure your drawing is as SIMPLE as possible. Draw only what you observe

4. BIOLOGICAL DRAWINGS
Use STIPPLING (not shading), when drawing darker areas
All labels should be HORIZONTAL and printed in LOWER CASE
Be sure to use a RULER when drawing lines from the drawing to the label
Do not cross lines when labelling
Give your drawing a TITLE

5. ASSIGNMENT
Create a biological drawing for the prepared slide given to your lab group. Make sure to follow all rules previously listed (refer to your textbook for additional information)
