5. 4. Set the levels: Have your talent speak in the tone of voice for the scene. Adjust the audio levels accordingly. Make sure the audio from the meter bounces between -12dB and -6dB. Check to make sure your audio will not peak and that it will pick up your talent and not the ambient noise. 5. Monitor the Audio: During the filming, keep an eye on the levels. Use headphones to listen to the audio to make sure it sound good. Don’t just rely on the levels.
