2 Registering Account First Time – Go to www.college.livetext.comwww.college.livetext.com – Register Account (Left menu) – Click line – Click here to activate your account. (Key code required) – Type in account information – click next All Other Logins – Go to www.college.livetext.comwww.college.livetext.com User Name Password

3 Main Categories 1. My work - list of documents you have created. 2. Inbox - list of documents that have been shared with you. 3. Sent - documents you have sent to others to share or review. 4. Trash – trash. 5. Reviews - list of documents you received for review. You can check comments on documents you have sent for review. 6. Groups - create groups – faculty. 7. Visitors - people without an account that you allow short term term viewing privileges.

4 Creating Documents A.New Documents - Creating documents in your own (My work) workspace from established instructor templates, LiveText, or new design. B.Copying Documents -Copying documents that have been shared with you. These may be portfolio templates, syllabi and/or course information.

5 New Documents -My Work -Create -Document -Choose: Portfolio -Select correct template (Identified by Instructor) -Enter your title -Create document

6 Copying Documents -Go to your Inbox -Click on document to copy -Click Copy, top right of page -In new text box (Copy of….) use this title or overtype new title -Click OK, top of text box

7 Sharing Documents -Share for documents to be reviewed or assessed. -Share with Instructor and yourself. -Share each time you add new material. Steps: -Share (top of page) -Private, Shared, Public (Click shared) -Reviewers/Assessors -Look up names -Type names -Check names -Add

8 Pictures/Attachments/Links Adding Text -In your document - click edit - you will get a small word processing page, type your information. You can cut and paste here also. Picture -To put a picture or image on the page click - Image (bottom) - browse your files (this must be a saved image or picture) - attach - finish. The page will ask where you want the image, click the box for the appropriate place. (Same procedure for scanned documents and artifacts) Attachment - click - Attachment- browse your files (this will also be a document you have saved)- attach – finish LiveText Link -you can include a link to another Live Text document that you have saved. click icon - check box before documents- insert (the document link will be inserted where the cursor is positioned on page - finish.

9 Completing Assessments Candidates – Share documents as directed with Instructors, Clinical Supervisors, School Faculty, and Yourself (For Self Assessments) Assessments – Documents can only be assessed from your Review section. Reviews – Find document (All reviews can be done from one document) – Under Actions (Right Top) Click Review- Click Assess (Right Top) – Assessment Chooser Page – From Materials select location of assessment. (My Work, Inbox, All, etc. Must select exact title)-Locate assessment to be used – Right side of assessment click Select. Assessment – If correct assessment click on title (Left side in blue) If incorrect assessment scroll to bottom of page and click on Choose another Assessment. Warning will appear that information will be lost (only if you have scored an assessment and not saved it). Continued……

10 Assessments ….. Continued Rubric – Assessment rubric will appear. Use drop-down boxes to select rating. Comments – Supervisors are encouraged to include informational comments. Comments are required on unsatisfactory performances. Reporting Form – Practice or Official – Choose Official Copy – Make a copy before submitting grade. All information will be erased after submission Save and Submit Assessment – Click the save and submit button. Choose Another Assessment – Click if you will be completing another assessment.

11 Printing Documents Choose Print (Top Right) – You can deselect sections you do not want to print by clicking on the section title. To print whole document, do nothing. Click Print (Top Right) – Standard printing instruction page will appear – Select preferences and/or print. Note –LiveText prints extremely large and you cannot determine page breaks before printing.
