2 For many years, our Beaches Club members have manned the Red Kettles at the entrance to Publix on Atlantic Blvd.in Neptune Beach. On Friday and Saturday, December 19th and 20th, we rang the bells at both entrances at Publix, thus encouraging donations from more shoppers. Eight of us wore the red aprons and rang the bells--from 2:00 to 6:00 on both days--John Bates, Al Russ, Carl Krouch, Bill Montgomery, Charles and Wanda Bender, Joe Overby and Ralph Marcello.
