6.  Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right - (6:1; cf Col. 3:20)  Children,... “Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with promise: - (6:2,3)  Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath – (6:4; cf. Col. 3:21; Prov. 22:15; 23:13,14; 29:15-17)  Bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. – (5:25; cf.
