WHAT IS IT????? a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment, and in particular climate change. It relates to the amount of greenhouse gases produced in our day-to-day lives through burning fossil fuels for electricity, heating and transportation

What Can You Do Turn off electric equipment when you are not using it. Turn down the heat in your house, even of only by a couple degrees Get all of your shopping for the week done in one trip Hang clothes out to dry instead of using an electric dryer

Transportation Carpool to work Walk to school and short distances Try to reduce your flying time If possible try to work from home when you can Use public transportation such as a bus

What Else Drink tap water if it is safe Buy local produce and grow what you can yourself Reduce your meat consumption Buy organic produce Recycle
