The most important strength you will need is your core strength followed by your legs and bum you will improve this by: crèches, sit ups, rotations push ups, bridge, blank and side blank. 4 My surfing I started surf at the age of eight and I have enjoyed all of my four years on the board. I started surf at the age of eight and I have enjoyed all of my four years on the board. I have surfed all over the north island my favourite places to surf are Coromandle, Wihi, Wiarapa, Gisborne and Materpoure. In wellington I would usually surf in Lyal Bay.
